Staff

PLC’s staff is diverse, but our focus is singular!

Hello, I’m Kai, and I am currently a conservation intern at PLC. I was born in North Florida and currently reside near Gainesville while I attend classes at Santa Fe College. Since I was raised by a biologist and water-management engineer, I have always been interested in the natural world. In my free time I love to kayak, hike and explore the natural lands of Florida!

Hi ya’ll! My name is Loretta Parrish and I’m PLC’s Bookkeeper. I was born and raised in Putnam County, Florida. I grew up exploring Florida with
the sand between my toes fishing, hiking, and bicycling. I joined the U.S. Navy at age 20, where I served four years of active duty as an Ocean
Systems Technician Analyst. Over the years I’ve volunteered for Putnam Blue Ways and Trails, Hospice, Brownie Girl Scouts, and other various
church, social and school activities. I’m honored to be a part of the Putnam Land Conservancy team, helping to conserve land and wildlife for
future generations!

PLC’s conservationist is Interlachen resident, Bjørn Parramoure, whose focus is property acquisition and mapping. At home, he stewards 80 acres of Longleaf Sandhill, maintaining a fire regime with the help of the North Florida Prescribed Burn Association. He holds degrees from UF and UCF, and has spent years as an educator in Florida schools. PLC is benefited by his talents with computers and software, as well as his passion for protecting our marvelous natural world.
